Edith Jackson Trust

The Edith Jackson Trust (EJT) supports the development of education in southern Sudan.  Working in partnership with the Episcopal Church of Sudan (ECS) we aim to help people of all faiths and none.

The Trust is concentrating its efforts initially on Rokon where there is a particularly urgent need for providing education following years of civil war. The war ended in 2005, but Rokon was on the ‘front line’ and was devastated socially and economically.  As refugees continue to return there is a desperate need for education facilities to help renew the area and give people hope and confidence in the future.

Rokon is in southern Sudan 90km north west of the regional capital Juba
